Dubach is known as the Dogtrot Capital due in part to the “Autrey House” log home in that area. LPSB millage renewals pass easily in election
1-bell.jpg

The two millage tax renewals up for a vote in Lincoln Parish that directly benefit the parish’s public schools both passed easily on Saturday, locking the school district in for another 10 years of solid property tax funding.
The first renewal was a parishwide tax of 10.25 mills. One mill is equal to $1 of tax per every $1,000 of real estate value above the $75,000 homestead exemption amount.
With all precincts reporting, unofficial election results showed the tax passed with 70.21 percent of voters saying yes, or 3,405 votes, and 29.79 percent saying no, or 1,445 votes.
This parishwide tax is restricted for use on purchasing textbooks, instructional materials and school buses; constructing, operating and maintaining school buildings and facilities; offsetting reductions in federal and state school funding; funding mandated federal and state programs and funding employee and retiree health insurance.
