Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal must be the luckiest politician ever. The candidate he backed for president lost, thus removing one more roadblock for his own 2016 presidential bid, and a bunch of Louisianans want to secede from the union before we fall over the fiscal cliff.
Just how lucky can Piyush Amrit Jindal — that’s the governor’s real name — get? No incumbent Republican president to campaign against, and the notion of his own country to run. Folks in other states want out, too, so the new nation may be a little bigger than just Louisiana. So much the better. Yep, the gallivanting governor, who seems to spend more time chasing national exposure than he does chasing problems here at home, has it made.
