Alice Louise Banister

Graveside services for Alice Louise Banister, age 87, of Clarksville, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. August 1, 2011 at Pines Memorial Cemetery of Ruston, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Officiating the service will be Dr. Michael Hawley.
Mrs. Banister was born, Alice Louise Kline on September 11, 1923 in Minden, LA and passed away July 25, 2011.

Rollover crash results in injury

Westbound traffic along Interstate 20 was backed up for miles late Wednesday morning following a rollover accident. An 18-wheeler carrying a bulldozer on a flatbed trailer apparently sideswiped an Oldsmobile Alero before the trailer disconnected and rolled over in the middle of the interstate. The driver of the 18-wheeler was transported to Northern Louisiana Medical Center. The condition of the driver of the Alero was unknown as of press time this morning. In the top picture, responders work to get the injured driver out of the truck.

Located just off of Louisiana Tech’s campus, Life Choices has been serving Lincoln Parish and the surrounding area for more than 15 years by providing free physical, spiritual and emotional support to men and women facing unplanned pregnancies.
