Hayes sets school record at LSU

New Orleans native Chelsea Hayes shattered the school record in the 100-meter dash and recorded the second best long jump in school history, as Louisiana Tech’s track and field programs made a strong showing at the LSU Alumni Gold meet Saturday.

Mattie Thomas Dye

Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Thomas Dye, age 82 of Dubach, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 25, 2011 at the First Assembly of God Church in Ruston.  Rev. Ricky Bonnette will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in St. Rest Cemetery in Dubach under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Dye was born September 17, 1928 in Dubach to Eugene Hedgepeth and Agnes Baxter Hedgepeth.  She died at her home on April 19, 2011.  She was a nurse’s aide at Lincoln General Hospital for many years.
