Staples celebrate 37 years

James and Jackie Staples, of Ruston, recently celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary. The couple was married on March 1, 1974. They have two children — Jason and John.

Rogers, Calhoun to exchange vows

Michael Heath Rogers, of Farmerville, and Katie Elizabeth Calhoun, of Dubach, are pleased to announce their engagement and approaching wedding.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Carl E. and Nancy J. Calhoun. She is the granddaughter of John and Sue Calhoun, of Dubach, the late Billy Neal Johnston and the late Francis Elizabeth Johnston.
Katie is a 2007 alumna of Dubach High School and a 2008 alumna of Louisiana Technical College’s Delta Ouachita Campus. She is employed in the law office of Mason Oswalt.

Taylor, Zangla to marry

Craig Taylor, of Ruston, and Mallory Zangla, of Alexandria, are pleased to announce their engagement and approaching wedding.

The bride-elect is the daughter of James and Rose Zangla, of Alexandria. She is the granddaughter of the late Frank and Celestine Zangla and the late Sidney and Rita Hebert.
Mallory is a 2003 alumna of Holy Savior Menard and a 2007 alumna of Louisiana Tech University, where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Tech in 2008. Mallory is employed as a financial analyst at Community Trust Bank.

Serio, Fiallos announce engagement

Esteban Ricardo Fiallos Barahona, of Shreveport, and Rachel Lauren Rose Serio, of Ruston, are pleased to announce their engagement and approaching wedding.

The bride-elect is the daughter of John J. and Donna Serio, of Ruston. She is the granddaughter of Leta Serio and the late Sam G. Serio, of Camden, Ark., Fermon Pierce, of Jacksonville, Ark., and Marian Pearce, of Ruston.
Rose is a 2000 alumna of Ruston High School and a 2005 alumna of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She is employed as a campus minister at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Ruston.

Wall, Scott set ceremony date

Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Scott are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Emily Anne Scott, to William Austin Wall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Barnette Wall III.

Emily is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Washington, of Ruston, Mr. and Mrs. Clint Scott, of Ruston, and Mr. and Mrs. Rick Rushton, of Slidell.

Austin is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Wall of Port St. Joe, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Robert Craig of Austin, and Mr. and Mrs. John Conniff, of Dripping Springs, Texas.

Franklin, Harrell to wed

David and Becky Harrell, of Ruston, are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching wedding of their daughter, Cassie Harrell, of Ruston, to Aaron Franklin, of Bryant, Ark.

The bride-elect is a 2007 alumna of Springhill High School. She is currently attending Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark. Cassie is a mass communications major who serves as co-editor-in-chief of her university’s yearbook. She is expected to graduate in May.
