Elaine Allen

Graveside services for Elaine Allen, 88, of Choudrant will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Longstraw Cemetery in Choudrant, LA. Rev. Leroy Skipper will officiate the service under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston, LA. Mrs. Allen was born in Choudrant on May 8, 1922 and died in Ruston on January 1, 2011 following a lengthy illness.  She was a member of Longstraw Baptist Church and was a retired dietician with the Lincoln Parish School Board.  Mrs. Allen is preceded in death by her husband Charles Allen.

Funeral services for Mr. Joe B. Hamilton, Sr. will be held Tuesday, January 4, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Dubach, with Rev. Barry Joiner officiating, assisted by Rev. Todd Free and Bro. Reagan Colvin. Visitation will be held Monday, January 3, at Kilpatrick’s Funeral Home from 5pm-8pm. Interment will be at Hamilton Cemetery, Dubach under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston, LA. Mr. Hamilton was born September 23, 1923 and went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 2, 2011. Mr.

While people rang in the New Year, Ruston’s fire and police officials responded to a few calls across the parish ranging from grass fires caused by fireworks to a haz-mat situation and DWI’s.
