Mary Catherine Reynolds

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Catherine Reynolds, age 57, of Heflin, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 21, 2011 at Corinth Baptist Church. Officiating the service will be Rev. Scott Jennings and Rev. Ronnie Dies. Interment will follow at Corinth Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Mrs. Reynolds was born July 15, 1953 and passed away January 17, 2011. She is preceded in death by her husband: Josh Reynolds; sister: Diane Strozier; and brother: Steven Johnston. She is survived by her daughter: Valerie Mercer and husband Shawn; grandchildren: Ashton P.

A luncheon is set for that day at 11:30 a.m., at the Squire Creek Golf and Country Club to recognize members of the team and tickets are available at $25 each by calling Barbara Swart at the Marbury Alumni House at 255-7950. This is the second in a series of three game stories written by O.K. Davis of the Daily Leader on the Techsters’ national title victories, with the following story having appeared in the March 28, 1982 edition of the Daily Leader. Today: the NCAA’s first-ever national championship game in 1982).
