Leadership must not let

Emergency situations like the one approaching Louisiana’s coast call for swift, caring and responsible actions by local, state and national leaders.
Residents’ very lives depend upon their decisions. The stakes could not be higher.
People across the nation witnessed the missteps, delays and poor judgment calls made during hurricanes Katrina and Rita only three years ago.
Many residents are still suffering from mistakes made before, during and after those storms.
Our state and our nation simply cannot bear to have a repeat of the 2005 tragedies.

Big dogs’ helping out Bearkittens

And Talton reports that action has been taken to make definite improvements, including the installation of a new floor made of high-tech rubber like those used in college and professional weight rooms.
Wooley said that Williams also pushed for the new weight room floor after visiting other schools and seeing what successful programs had in place.  But it’s the one-to-one work with the athletes that are really making the difference.

COMMUNITY READY FOR BULLDOG ACTION

Incorporating large groups into Tech’s tailgating activities has helped turn gameday into such a big event at Tech. Graham said Community Trust Bank will probably serve 500 people, First National Bank will probably serve 500 people, and that organizations like “Chase, Davison, Squire Creek, the automobile dealers, the hospitals and ambulance services all have pretty big groups, too.
