Library Events Center passes

Jury legal counsel Andy Shealy, a Third Judicial District Assistant Attorney, told the board Tuesday that the complaint with the LAO would definitely delay the project.
“Nothing will happen until the Legislative Auditor gets back to us,” he said.
Juror Jody Backus asked his opinion on how long that might be, and Shealy said it shouldn’t be long, because the project is within its guidelines.
“It’s cut and dry, if you ask me, but that’s just my opinion,” Shealy said.

“There’s little doubt that Karl is one of the game’s all-time greatest players and power forwards,” Sloan said in an interview with The Ruston Daily Leader on Tuesday, “but what made him great was more than just what he did in a game.
“He carried the same type of competitiveness and passion into every practice. Fest shirts’ arrival boosts excitement

“The royal blue color (was chosen because) it went really well with the festival logo, which is somewhat patriotic,” Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce Membership Director Blair Walpole said.
Shirts are available in adult sizes small through 3X, as well as children’s and youth sizes. Prices on all T-shirts are $12, except for the 2X and 3X, which are $15.
“We start gradually selling out of the more popular sizes, so we encourage people to get them early,” Walpole said. “Usually the larger sizes and the kids’ sizes remain.”
