Garrett relays has large field

The meet will officially christen the newly surfaced track at the facility, plus a renovated and enlarged fieldhouse for the RHS track and field squads; the fieldhouse will be known as the L.J. “Hoss” Garrett Fieldhouse, in honor of the late head football and track coach at the school.
Schools entered in the meet include Shreveport Captain Shreve, Bossier City Airline High, Monroe Carroll, Monroe Ouachita, Grambling, Farmerville, Sterlington, Bastrop, Oak Grove, Mangham, Simsboro, Choudrant and Shreveport Caddo Magnet.

New track debuts

Red colored numbers designating each lane of the black polyethylene surface provide an instant appeal for competitors and an appropriate link to the school’s colors.
But it’s more than just the track that has added a first-class look to James Stadium.
The building that has housed the school’s teams in track and field and visiting football teams has undergone a major facelift in recent months.
Drive by the facility and the changes pop out like another record-setting mark achieved by the traditionally strong teams produced by veteran head track and field coach Dave Anderson.
