Despite the smaller roster, the ‘Dogs battled tough and approached within several single-digit differentials in the final half.
But the Aggies wound up with a 58.7 shooting percentage from the field and forced Tech into 18 turnovers to sweep the two-game regular season series.
“The kids did well tonight to battle back,” said head coach Kerry Rupp of Tech.“The lack of points in the paint and turnovers hurt us. But we have to regroup and move on and get healthy. These young guys are getting invaluable minutes. Again, the effort was good and we have to stay positive.”

State spending Web site would be big

What does this mean for you, a resident of Lincoln Parish?
In a perfect world, it will mean that an easily understandable resource will be accessible to you from the comfort and convenience of your home computer.
It will be a resource to show you the details of how state government operates, where the tax dollars that you so dutifully pay to the state end up, and how Lincoln Parish fits into the equation.
Rep. Hollis Downs has said that Lincoln Parish is a net tax recipient, not a net tax payer, and in large part that is likely because of the two state universities domiciled here.

Valentine's Day: Tokyo style

The most popular reason for hating the holiday seems to be that it has become far too consumeristic. My own reason is it has a tendency to make single people feel lonely, which I will admit is a problem that many holidays involve. But a day completely devoted to love cannot be a happy reminder of your single status, if it is in fact something you would like to change at some point.

Locals log onto e-dating adventures

“There is a limited amount of people in this city,” Luther said. “There are 6 billion other people in the world to get new perspectives; you might just end up liking them.”
Luther’s experience with online dating has involved women in New Orleans, Texas and even one in Australia, but he said he does not date online anymore because long-distance dating often does not offer a true picture of the person.
“You have to be around them to know how they really are,” Luther said.
Networking sites have changed how people communicate in other ways, he said.
