Bowl win helps Bulldogs’ future

“It’s definitely a momentum-builder for next year,” said Jenkins, the sophomore starting quarterback who passed for 144 yards with 12 completions in 27 attempts against the Huskies. “We’ve got a lot of players coming back from this team and, while we’re going to enjoy this victory for a while and taking a little time off, we’re already looking forward to the spring.”

“How about them ’Dogs!” yelled Tech fan Arthur Jameson of Shreveport as he headed out of the west side of the stadium near the midnight hour Sunday. “This is a great win for coach Dooley, the players and the university. It’s a great way to get started for next year.”
For now, Dooley and the ’Dogs will savor the team’s fifth win during their last six games of this season and the program’s second bowl victory ever.
