Bulldogs’ offense on upswing

Included in that production were four contests of 31 or more points, among them being a 45-38 victory over Utah State.

Grin and bear Ruston roads

The construction on that main north-south artery was so bad at one point that I think he actually considered hitting the Sonic on California Avenue for lunch, which is a rare hiccup in his highly regimented world. Since construction has somewhat eased in that area (and I stress somewhat), the complaints have not been as barbed, but you can tell it still irks. It’s not one-laned anymore, but the narrowness and the grade drop-off are still big problems for commuters. He worries that even in his small vehicle, he’s going to clip some poor highway worker.

City reacts to residents' concerns

When government responds to resident concerns so readily, that’s something worth recognizing. We are fortunate to live in a city with leaders who respond to our requests, especially in such a timely manner.
Taking care of blighted property is a logical first step in making the changes the city needs as it heads into the future. It makes sense to assess and address the existing buildings and infrastructure in town before embarking on new construction projects.

Time for parades

Bush said area residents who come downtown to see the parade Thursday will be treated to candy thrown from Santa and other float riders, as well as entertainment from Choudrant High and Ruston Junior High spirit groups and Louisiana Tech and Grambling High’s bands.
