Bulldogs defeated by Samford, 71-58

“It was a stretch of five minutes in the second half that did our team in. We need to refocus and keep our toughness when we fall behind.”
Sophomore Andy King also connected on 6-of-7 from behind the three-point line for Samford to all but put the game out of reach. King’s 20 points led all scorers on the night.
Tech would not trail in the first half of play before taking a 28-26 lead into the halftime locker room.
Both teams shot evenly in the first half at 48 percent.

Bulldog ‘Blue Flu’ spreads

“We’ve had the bowl stuff in for a little under a week now, and we’re already half sold out,” Tech bookstore manager Colleen Durrett said. “I think the bowl gear has brought a little extra traffic into the bookstore, too.”
That extra traffic the bookstore has seen hasn’t only been on foot.
“We’ve had a lot of Internet orders for the bowl gear, too. We just got in a shipment of hats and cups, and some of those are a little late in shipping, but should make it in time for Christmas and the game.
