Ellis to direct regional tourney

He has been assigned to serve as the director of the regional to be held in Houston beginning on Friday and continuing through Monday.
“It’s a great honor and, as always, I am looking forward to seeing some great baseball and seeing some of the many friends I’ve been able to make through the years at the tournaments and the College World Series,” Ellis told The Daily Leader on Tuesday. “The regional in Houston is going to be exciting. Think safety before swimming

Parents need to be mindful of children, always making sure they are supervised. For young children, the Red Cross advocates “reach supervision,” meaning someone stays within an arm’s length of the swimmer. The fire was reported at approximately 11:47 a.m. Responding firefighters found the structure fully engulfed.
LPFD Chief Dennis Ford said the fire was under control in minutes, but not before it totaled the home.
“After three to five minutes, most trailer homes are a loss because they burn so quickly,” he said.
A resident was at home when the blaze broke out, but no one was injured.
