Aggies face No. 1 Raiders

Runnels (19-8-0, 10-1), the champs out of District 8-B, will come into the tournament on a major roll.
That last defeat suffered by the team was 10-0 to Bethany Christian, which ranked No. 2 in the final state poll for the class.
Otherwise, there’s been little that the Raiders have done wrong of late. Their 11-game winning streak includes nine games of 10 or more runs, three of ‘em during postseason play.
Prior to halting Oak Hill, Runnels slammed Maurepas 12-2 and totaled a dozen runs in a 12-9 victory over Grand Lake.

Biomedical dream realized

What sheer courage it must have taken to delve within one’s soul and deepest capabilities to conceive of such an entity in the heart of rural north Louisiana. Who would ever hear of it there? Who would ever seek its production even with obvious genius? Who would come forth with the funds to make it a reality? How would it compete with the many other such facilities being built in larger population centers with greater funding.
Never mind. Reneau forged ahead with sheer determination, and none of the naysayers remain standing.

“It was built a long time ago, had an old decking on it and we were having to make a lot of repairs to it; it was time to fix it.”
Taylor said all lane closures would follow Louisiana DOTD guidelines and Louisiana State Police troopers would be utilized for traffic control.
