Nurses group honors military

“The exhibit on Iraq was very interesting and had some really heart-wrenching comments by nurses because they are operating under very severe circumstances.”
These circumstances, she said, include sometimes going days without the opportunity to take a bath.
“It just really burdened me that we should do something to honor them during National Nurses Week, so that’s what the project is all about locally,” Hyde said.

’Dogs have Love Field series

The ‘Dogs and Patriots will collide for a three-game series over the next two days, hooking up in a single game tonight at 6 and then resuming play on Saturday with a doubleheader at 3 p.m.
By the time the weekend ends, Tech will have played eight games in a seven-day period.
However busy the itinerary is, Bulldogs’ head coach Wade Simoneaux can only hope his team experiencing a transfusion of the winning sort.

Camp gives summer new meaning

Caleb Seney, executive director of MedCamps, said Camp Alabama in Choudrant is the destination for the usual camp activities for children with disabilities that might make them feel unusual among their peers.

Camp offers outlook for summer

Dana Burway said the camp provides Tyler with a vacation with counselors and trained professionals who make her family and the other campers feel welcome.
To feel like this, though they may not know it, residents don’t have to go far. MedCamps is held at Camp Alabama in Choudrant.
Caleb Seney, executive director of MedCamps, said though the camp provides all the traditional activities, it is a little different.
