Techsters win, ’Dogs lose on road

Alabama then went the length of the floor after a timeout and turned the ball over as time ran out.
“I wanted Shanavia to have a big night,” said Tech head coach Chris Long. “But I’ll be honest, she came out and started really slow on both ends of the floor. She had a lot of people here and I think that might have affected her.

Recognition another bonus for Tech

It actually feeds into work he did in recent years that helped garner Tech two other Small Times’ honors, one in education and one in the commercialization of nanotechnology ideas.
The technique itself hinges on layer-by-layer nanoassembly, which basically is a method of coating very small particles with other very small particles in layers to change the substance’s properties. School Board OKs tax election

“The district gets rewarded based on the effort they put forth locally,” Murphy said. “If these (tax renewals) do not pass, we will be penalized.”
He said the two parish-wide renewal taxes are for 4.94 mills, and each generates more than $1 million annually to pay for minor school repairs and maintenance, fuel for buses and school employee salaries and benefits.
One mill equals $1 for every $1,000 of taxable property value.
The 10-year tax up for renewal in Dubach is for 3.25 mills and generates about $95,000 annually.
