Bulldogs build road confidence

“Now, we just need to go out and do it again.”
Prior to the Saturday afternoon victory, Tech had lost four straight WAC contests on the road, the last victory under such circumstances having been 40-28 at Fresno State in the final game of the 2005 campaign.
The ‘Dogs will have the opportunity to make it two straight league road wins this weekend when they return to the west and take on the University of Idaho in Moscow.

These good-natured, big-hearted people are willing to endure life in the “slammer” for a few hours as they help children across the nation suffering from neuromuscular diseases.

Dad-daughter team inspires

It happens to be a true story.
Harrel and Anna Beth Lamkin are the father-daughter duo that built a car, participated in Hot Rod’s Power Tour and garnered national recognition.
In 2005, Harrel found a 1976 Pacer X abandoned in a backyard.
“The Pacer X was originally going to be a daily driver, beat-around car, but it snowballed with plans to make it one-of-a-kind,” Anna Beth said.

Landmark on verge of collapse?

“What we have is one corner where there was some significant sagging in the floors, which caused the walls to move,” Alfred said.
That buckling has been completely shored up, Alfred said, but the fixes are temporary.
They will be tended to until capital outlay money for a project to renovate the inside of the building is in hand, he said.
“There’s no imminent danger of collapse,” Alfred said. “All of the sagging has been arrested, there is no more continuous sagging.”
