Guardsmen court martialed for larceny

Schneider said the soldiers, along with three officers, were all appointed counsel and tried in separate cases.
“Different soldiers received different punishments; that’s the legal system we have,” he said.
“The entire military court martials people every day and takes swift justice and that’s what happened in this case.”
He said one of the big issues is the violation of trust on the part of those involved in this incident.
“The biggest thing is trust,” Schneider said.

Arrest not the whole story

Part of the population has already held an impromptu trial and have found Karr guilty of the 1996 murder while others firmly believe in his innocence.
As is witnessed by other high-profile criminal cases, even the court rendering does not always sway public opinion.
For instance, years after O.J. Simpson was acquitted of murder, many people still have no doubt in their minds that he was guilty of that crime.
While these infamous cases attract a lot of national attention for various reasons, the same justice course can be seen daily on a local level.
