Reneau highlights Tech’s ‘unusual year’

“When I travel around the country, other than asking about the storms, the thing I’m most asked about is Louisiana Tech,” Clausen, sporting a Tech blue and red outfit, said. “People want to know what you are doing; you have the kind of pride that commands respect.”

Owners move into new Habitat homes

While volunteers were able to complete most of the work, licensed electricians and plumbers were hired to complete certain aspects to meet city building codes.
Habitat for Humanity does not provide free housing, but rather affordable housing, Tuten explained. The three-bedroom homes are being purchased for about one-third the cost of comparable construction due to all the volunteer labor and contributions.
The list of contributors is a long one.
•Whirlpool Corporation has a national policy of donating a new refrigerator and kitchen stove to each new Habitat House.
