Jones, who has signed with Louisiana Tech University, has a personal best of 198-0 this year for the third best mark in the nation.
He set a new meet record at the recent L.J. “Hoss” Garrett Relays hosted by the Bearcats at 1860.

Their 4-by-200 relay team is ranked No. 3 in the nation.

Programs receive grants from RLCVB

Bill Elmore, chairman of the CVB, said both of the programs greatly support tourism in Lincoln Parish.
“The IDEA Place had a half million dollar impact in the tourism economy in Lincoln Parish,” Elmore said.
“The university is a tremendous asset to us. CATALyST supports the scientific areas, and we had almost a half a million dollar impact
from their programs.”
Tech President Dan Reneau said that he was appreciative of the grants and the CVB’s day to day support.
