Stolen purse raises questions

One of my more popular options was that of a professional mascot. I admit, this was due in no small part to the immense amount of fun Zwolle’s hawk was having performing the Hokey Pokey.
Right foot, left, etc., he was really having a ball, although he did decline to try the Cha-Cha Slide.
“I could definitely do that,” I thought to myself. Talk about a stress-free job.
Less than an hour later, I was considering another potential career — that of a detective.

Child-raising falls on all

Lincoln Parish Superintendent of Schools Danny Bell, school board members, Louisiana Tech University faculty and students, parish school principals and teachers, representatives from faith-based organizations and the Methodist Children’s Home and a number of parents filled seats at the Ruston Civic Center.
The turnout for “Love and Logic Toolbox for Parents and Teachers” was acceptable. But it could have been better.

’Dogs battle Clemson tonight

After logging trips to Madison, Wisc., and Honolulu and points in between, a short flight to Atlanta and bus ride to Clemson, S.C., for tonight’s 6 p.m. (CST) first round game in the National Invitation Tournament doesn’t seem so tough.
“Being on the road doesn’t worry us anymore,” said senior point guard Daevon Haskins. “This is our 21st game on the road. We’re used to it by now.”

Indian festivities take place at Tech

The “Discover India” exhibition began Monday evening from 4-7 p.m. with an outside Indian bazaar selling Indian food, offering Henna tattoos and displaying some of India’s colorful attire.
“It’s a good, first-hand experience if you don’t get a chance to go to India,” said Morgan Tarpley, a student at Tech. “The colors are so vibrant. That’s what stood out. I want to touch everything.”
That, of course, was the point.
