Underage drinking a big problem

As appalling as that statistic is, here’s one that’s even more alarming: many of those drunken drivers were under 21, the state’s minimum age for consuming or buying alcohol.

ESPNU set to film Stihl event

The Exposition, located on the Farmerville Highway north of Ruston, will be the setting for the Stihl Timber Sports Collegiate Challenge at 7 p.m., pitting the best axemen, buck saw operators and chain saw operators from 14 southeastern universities, against each other.

“Usually, at these collegiate events, a group of guys will show up with ESPNU painted on their torsos; they always make the show.”
