Jury works to clean up parish roads

It also marks the first of several “megasites” that will be located throughout the parish. The Jury’s plan calls for consolidating the two, three and four trash bin sites located throughout the parish into larger “megasites”. It is the Jury’s contention that by consolidating trash collection sites, it will be easier to keep parish roadways clean and monitor what is being thrown into trash bins.

Surprise reminds of gratitude

We also found a card among the gifts. It stated:
“We came here to party and it looked like Santa stocked your cabinets and fridge with treats! Anyway, we ate all we could, and here is what’s left over! We love you so much!“
Dustin and I still wonder why these girls went to such great lengths to make our holiday a special one. I think it’s OK that we may never get our answer.

Interstate 20 exit ramp reopens

With that phase of the five-phase construction plan along the I-20 corridor complete, Love said it would soon be time to begin work on Phases II and III.
The Department of Transportation received two bids for work on the South Service Road between Vienna Street and Louisiana 33 — Phase II — and both came in under the engineer’s estimation of $6.4 million.
“D&J Construction Co. placed a bid of $5.5 million, while James Construction Co. placed a bid of $5 million,” Love said. “Since DOTD let the bid they will decide who the contractor will be.”
