Parish park funding plan hits snag

“We’re going to have a discussion at 4 p.m. (today) with the Library Board,” Edmiston said during a CVB Executive Board meeting Tuesday morning.
“I met Monday with (Library Board Chair) Sam Williams and he had done a 180 from what Bobby said at the Police Jury meeting. He said they are going to recommend building a one-room meeting space.”

That is except for Homecoming, of course. I always made sure to visit the church on that Sunday each year, and I will confess that my mind was on more than the message — namely on the honey-glazed ham, fried chicken, etc. I knew was even then being placed on long, folding tables outside under the shade of nearby trees.

Tech theatre to show a little ‘W;t’a survivor, too,’” May recalled.

Sciro recalls how she planned to present the play a few years ago, but found it too painful amid the waves of grief following the deaths of both her mother and close friend from cancer.
“I think this show will make people become more reflective and realize ‘I don’t need to make that extra sale at work or stay and work those extra hours. I need to concentrate on things that really matter like family, friendship, love, compassion and empathy,’” Sciro said.
