Doors open at 7 p.m., April 28 at the Thomas Assembly Center for switchfoot, a contemporary Christian band with an alternative twist. The band is being sponsored by the Louisiana Tech University Union Board.
Members of the Union Board said they are anticipating a sold-out concert.
"We felt as a whole that this band was the best from what was touring the area at the time," Union Board member Maurice Rome said. "They fit our schedules best because we have to go by who is touring, where they are going to be and when the TAC is available for use."

Two killed, one in critical condition from interstate crash

Stephen Borsa, 48, of Kilgore Texas, was traveling west on I-20 in a 2005 GMC truck when he attempted to pass a pick-up truck driven by John Toews, 61, of Lafayette, Ark., Sgt. Julie Lewis, Public Information Officer for the Louisiana State Police, said.

Lewis & Company traditions to be missed

"I would have to say that business has not been great for several years now," William Lewis said. "We just keep holding on with the optimism that things would get better but after we visited with our CPA last fall, we saw that was just not happening. We have been struggling with the decision since then. And then, while our fall and Christmas business was not too bad, it was not good enough to give us much encouragement.
