GSU band on CNN tonight

in

Members of Grambling State University’s marching band will be featured on CNN tonight as a part of the network’s pre-inauguration coverage.
Broadcasting from the National Mall in Washington, D.C., CNN will feature band members playing several songs during the one-hour program with anchors Anderson Cooper and Wolf Blitzer. The show will air from 7-8 p.m. CST. The university’s band played during President Obama’s first inauguration parade in January 2009, and the band is the only Historically Black College and University (HBCU) participating in the president’s inauguration parade Monday.
GSU’s band is one of two marching bands returning for the president’s second inauguration parade; the other is the president’s Hawaii high school. The band is the only Louisiana marching band participating.
