Lincoln boasts top shooters

The Lincoln Parish 4H Senior shooters competed in the Sanson Elimination Event at the Arcadia Gun Club on April 28. Five shooters placed in the top 15 to qualify to compete in the 2013 Louisiana Trapshooting Association State Shoot in Port Allen later this month. Adopt-a-School awards presented

The Lincoln Parish Adopt-A-School Program recently wrapped up another stellar year during its fifth annual End-of-Year Celebration and Luncheon.  Co-Sponsored by the Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and Lincoln ACHIEVE, the event was attended by roughly 110 Chamber and Education partners who participated throughout the 2012-13 year.

Ribbon cutting ceremonies were held May 2 for Ruston Family Medicine Center, located at 206 East Reynolds Drive, Suite C-3 and K, in Ruston. Ruston Family Medicine Center is the offices of Drs. Janice Ford, Dan Thompson and Stacy Conville. The ribbon cutting was sponsored by the Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.

On road for quarterfinals

Junior catcher/pitcher Austin McNeill will be one of the Cedar Creek High starters in Monday’s 5 p.m. Class 1A Louisiana High School Athletic Association quarterfinal round playoff game at Monroe Ouachita Christian (29-5). McNeill had a game-winning, two-out single in the bottom of the sixth inning to lift the Cougars (22-9) to a 9-8 regional round victory over Ville Platte Sacred Heart earlier this week.
