HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Louisiana Tech’s Casey Sutton and Jonathan Washam have earned All-Conference USA honors, announced by the league office Tuesday in a vote by the head coaches, sports information directors and media representatives from each school.
Sutton received first team honors as a starting pitcher for the Bulldogs despite the junior being less than one year removed from Tommy John surgery.
He led Louisiana Tech’s pitching staff with a 6-1 record in seven starts and 15 total appearances.

Parents make seniors' night special

in

On behalf of the 2016 Ruston High School senior class, I would like to say “Thank you!” Each year the parents of the graduating class continue the tradition of organizing a “lock in” for the graduating seniors so they can celebrate their accomplishments with their Bearcat friends. At the celebration, the students participated in various activities and games to earn raffle tickets, which enabled them to win a wide variety of prizes.

The Ethel Mae Movers and Shakers learned how to properly care for their teeth,so that they will still have their natural teeth when they are in their 90s.
The presenters were hygienists from the Peachtree Kiddie Dental Office.
The ladies stated that the youth should brush their teeth twice a day, and be sure to floss their teeth either with the dental pick or thread.
The hygienists stated that they should only use children’s toothpaste, and not the adult toothpaste. The parents had never heard of toothpaste designed especially for children.

EDWINA COLVIN

Our precious mama, Edwina Wright Colvin, was born April 9, 1926, weighing two pounds. At a time when there were no incubators, intensive care units, or any other equipment to care for a preemie, and despite all odds and many dire predictions, she survived. Mama was fed with a medicine dropper. She left this life May 23, 2016, at the age of 90 and is now living in a mansion and eating from God’s bountiful table.
