Tech soccer squad seeks WAC crown

The Louisiana Tech University soccer team has advanced to the Western Athletic Conference postseason tournament for only the second time in program history.
Tech will begin action as the No. 4 seed and will face No. 5 Seattle today at 3:30 p.m. (CDT) at the Chuck and Gloria Bell Soccer Field to be hosted by Utah State in Logan, Utah.
The Lady Techsters (12-4-4) and Redhawks (8-8-2) finished the season with the same conference record of 3-3-2, with Tech gaining the tiebreaker and receiving the higher seed.

Ruston High swimmers tune up for Red River Conference meet

Ruston High School boys won their final two regular-season meets, taking first at the final home meet held at the Lambright Sports and Wellness Center on the campus of Louisiana Tech University and tying for first with Sulphur at a 16-team meet in Alexandria.
The Lady Bearcats took first in the final home meet of the season and finished third at Alexandria.
