Dykes pulls surprise at scrimmage

in

BERKELEY, Calif. — Sonny Dykes’ debut spring game at the University of California recently featured a running back that wowed the crowd of more than 5,000 with his size and speed, but no one knew he had run out of eligibility.

After completing a three-game series of two different opponents during Easter weekend, Ruston High has a 19-4 record entering a District 2-5A series against perennial rival West Monroe High later this week.

Degrie, Elizabeth (New).jpg
