Chad Tingle of Saline showed how great a singer he is with a great old religious classic as he was named Dixie Entertainer of the Year Saturday night at the Dixie Center for the Arts.
Tingle’s version of “How Great Thou Art” brought the crowd to their feet in the fourth performance of the night in the Dixie Horizon Entertainer Search. A total of 21 acts competed for the right to be named Dixie Entertainer of the Year.

Autrey, Terrie Q.jpg

As our state legislators return to Baton Rouge this month, one of their first tasks is to review and hear public testimony on the proposed budget. This is the budget that cuts funding to domestic violence programs by another $1.4 million, bringing our total cuts to $2.4 million since last July.
