Marbles, ping-pong, baseball.
Whatever sport Ruston High and West Monroe might play, it’s traditionally big.
And that’s certainly the case starting tonight when the Bearcats (19-4, 3-0) and Rebels (14-9, 5-1) meet in the first of a critical three-game District 2-5A series.
Ruston has the host role tonight at 6 p.m., before the duels move to the Rebels’ diamond on Friday at the same time.
The series wraps up Saturday at 1 p.m. on the Bearcats’ field.

Miscues were still there at times and the weather made catching the ball difficult, but the team was as energized and animated as if it was the first practice of the spring.
